First, I would like to
welcome you, visitors of the website of Lebanon Oil Installations, and
I hope that this site is going to provide you useful information about the petroleum
sector in Lebanon.
The creation of this
website today, which is a step to go along with modernity in the world of
communication, came to shed light on the majestic history of the oil sector in
Lebanon, where the Lebanon oil installations which is a governmental body working
in accordance to flexible commercial principles and related to the Ministry of
Energy and Water, and considered as a symbol of the economic sectors that have
contributed over decades in building the Lebanese economy.
For more than eighty
years, the oil sector in Lebanon has witnessed a golden age, due to two strategic
oil terminals exporting Iraqi crude oil from the north and Saudi Arabia crude
oil from the south, in addition to the production of the two oil refineries
which were established at these terminals.
Despite the tragic
events and wars that destroyed many facilities in Lebanon, the oil
installations overcame all difficulties and continued to perform their role and
fulfill their duty towards the citizens.
Faced with major
transitions in oil markets and the development of this industry, the oil
installations, open up new horizons to oil investments which constitute the
backbone of the ministry’s policy to develop this sector in order to better
serve the citizens.
This website, which
will be of great benefits for all Lebanese citizens and for Arab and foreign
investors, and a motivator for them to choose the Lebanon oil installation for
their investments or as a strategic partner for their future projects, has been
especially designed to serve you.
In this respect, I
would like to emphasize the readiness of the Lebanon Oil installations’ team to
meet any enquiry or clarification, and their readiness to assist, support and
keep up with any business investment or scientific project or technical staff
training and the development of human capacity among all Lebanese citizens.
Finally, I would like
to thank all directors at all levels and all employees and workers who have
build, worked in and maintained this economic edifice since the very beginning
to our present day, promising them to continue to adopt the transparency policy
